AI automation consulting, from the person who builds it
Advice about what to automate, what it will cost, and whether to automate at all — from the person who would then write the code and run it afterwards. An advisory hour is CAD $195, an Automation Blueprint $4,500 over one to two weeks, and a Readiness Assessment $12,500 over two weeks.
What a consultant should tell you before selling you anything
Whether to automate at all. That judgement turns on four things: your volume, how stable the process is, how often it throws exceptions, and what it costs when it is wrong. If an off-the-shelf tool solves your problem, we say so and the call ends there — that costs you nothing.
The four situations where automation loses money are set out in when not to automate, and the fit check runs the arithmetic in your browser without taking your email.
What the judgement actually turns on
Volume, stability, exceptions and the cost of being wrong. Each one can be measured before anyone writes code — and any one of them can be the reason the answer is no.
The fit check runs the same arithmetic in your browser, without taking your email.
Volume, counted
How many times a month the task really happens — counted from last month, not estimated. Under roughly 500 documents a month, a build in the tens of thousands rarely repays itself before the process changes.
Stability, written down
Whether the steps are settled and written somewhere a stranger could follow. A process that changes most months turns a build into a maintenance bill, and rules that live in one person’s head cannot be encoded until someone writes them down.
Exceptions, sampled
Take 50 recent cases and count how many share one shape. Automation pays on a dominant pattern with a manageable tail; fifty different stories is judgement work, and an agent would only build a queue for a person to clear.
The cost of being wrong
What one bad decision costs, and whether anyone sees it before it lands. If a single mistake costs more than a year of the labour being saved and no human reviews it first, the arithmetic does not work at any accuracy.

Advisory hour
$195CAD per hour · Credited against a Blueprint or Assessment booked within 30 days- Notes written up afterwards
- Bring an architecture, a vendor quote or a build-vs-buy question
- The first call is free, and separate from this
Automation Blueprint
$4,500CAD · Advisory only, no code- Where fixed-scope advisory engagements start
- A recommendation you can take to any vendor
- Including one that is not us
Readiness Assessment
$12,500CAD · Focused (1–2 processes) · Enterprise-wide from $16,500- Process inventory, with the volume numbers written down
- Inclusions, exclusions and credit terms published in full
An implementation consultant who writes the code
The person who scopes your engagement is the person who writes the code and who runs it afterwards. If the advice leads to a build, the Fixed-Scope Agent Pilot is CAD $22,000 over six to eight weeks for one process across up to three connected systems, with a held-out evaluation set, a runbook and full source handover.
The same shape applied to documents is intelligent document processing; applied to a decision loop it is AI agents for business.
Or a platform you already pay for
No-code tools are cheap and genuinely good at moving data between apps. They stop at judgement — reading a document, deciding what it means, handling the exception. Zapier and Make suit simple triggers between SaaS apps at low volume. n8n suits a team with technical staff who want to own the runtime and host it in Canada cheaply. Copilot Studio suits an organisation already living in Microsoft 365.
If the honest answer for you is n8n or Copilot Studio, we will build it there and charge less, because it takes us fewer hours. The full table is on the AI automation services page.
Toronto, working across Canada and the U.S.
Quintessentia Network Inc. is incorporated and operated in Ontario, and we work Eastern time. Where your data lives is chosen per engagement and written into the contract before work starts: AWS ca-central-1 in Montreal or Azure Canada Central in Toronto, a U.S. region, your own cloud tenancy, or your own hardware.
What we will not claim
Quintessentia Network Inc. is not SOC 2 certified and is not ISO 27001 certified. We say so on the trust page rather than waiting to be asked.
There are no client case studies here yet. They get published as engagements complete. What we can show you is the software we built and run for ourselves.
We do not resell a platform. There is no runtime licence to buy from us, and the source is handed over at the end of a build.
Questions worth asking first
Is the first call free?
Yes. You describe the process and bring your volume number. If an off-the-shelf tool solves it, we say so and the call ends there — that costs you nothing. The advisory hour is for when you want the hour to be about your architecture rather than about us.
Is the advisory hour credited?
The fee is credited against a Blueprint or Assessment booked within 30 days. Credit terms for the Assessment against a later build are published on the AI automation services page.
Do you resell a platform?
No. There is no runtime licence to buy from us, and you get full source handover at the end of a build.
Can you build on n8n or Copilot Studio?
Yes. If the honest answer for you is one of those, we will build it there and charge less, because it takes us fewer hours.
Are you SOC 2 certified?
No. Quintessentia Network Inc. is not SOC 2 certified and is not ISO 27001 certified. The full statement of what we do and do not have is on the trust page.
