How the answer is worked out

Hours a month
Cases a month times minutes per case, divided by sixty: how much of your team’s month the task takes today.
What those hours cost
Hours times CAD $38 — the midpoint of the $36–40 an hour we publish for an Ontario clerk once CPP, EI, EHT, WSIB, benefits and vacation are counted.
What a system could take over
Seventy-five per cent when nearly all cases share one shape, fifty per cent when about two-thirds do. Never all of it: the exceptions still need people.
Payback
A build in this shape is priced from the published figures — CAD $26,000, or $48,000 from 2,000 cases a month — and divided by the monthly saving. Fourteen months or less reads as worth measuring; longer is borderline.
The disqualifiers come first
Fifty different stories, a process that changes most months, or a yearly saving under about $7,600 (80% of the CAD $9,500 minimum engagement) ends the answer before any payback is shown. A named-region obligation that clears the minimum reads as a strong fit, because it rules out most of the market.
